  • FORKLIFT OPERATOR

    FORKLIFT OPERATOR

    Grade:  Junior Staff

    Work Location: Accra Office

    Division/Department: Technical/Transport

    Reports to: Transport Manager

     

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    To operate assigned forklift, monitor the condition of equipment carrying out pre-operation checks and promptly reporting to supervisor; convey and stack goods in a safe and secure condition.

     

    Your responsibilities as a Forklift Operator shall be as follows:

     

    • Carry out pre operational checks on assigned vehicle/ equipment using a checklist to be provided.
    • Ensure vehicle/equipment has undergone necessary statutory inspection and carries the valid certificates and sticker(s).
    • Drive or operate defensively to avoid accident.
    • Observe all safety rules including the use of PPE provided.
    • Drive and observe all statutory road regulations.
    • To complete all tasks in reasonable time to the satisfaction of the customer (internal or external).
    • To keep equipment or vehicle assigned in a clean and presentable condition.
    • Convey and stack products in a safe manner under the guidance of the person responsible for that section.
    • To report any problem on the equipment or vehicle immediately by filing out the relevant documents.
    • Perform any other duties that may be assigned from time to time

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.

    Educational Qualification and Experience:

     

    • A valid Driving License class BE minimum.

  • UTILITY TECHNICIAN

    UTILITY TECHNICIAN

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    To fully ensure that machines are maintained always and smoothly running to avoid any disruption in production.

     

    Your responsibilities as a Utility Technician shall be as follows:

     

    • Responsible for the safe maintenance, repair and replacement of plant equipment to ensure maximum productivity and quality in the plant.
    • Service and repair air compressors, generators, chillers, various pumps etc.
    • Constantly check machinery during production to ensure smooth operation and for any unusual sounds.
    • Responsible for lube application.
    • Review downtime report from previous shift for any adverse report or hindrance.
    • Assist in plant conversions and installations.
    • Ensure R&D and Quality Assurance Department examines all samples and certifies the product prior to start of production.
    • Prepare production and maintenance report and submit to Maintenance and Production Managers.
    • Undertake thorough maintenance of assigned machine every Saturday to ensure machine is in good condition and operating smoothly for the next production to start.
    • Review the operation of plant equipment to minimize unplanned downtime and identify opportunities for improvement.   To report any problem on the equipment or vehicle immediately by filing out the relevant documents.

    • Ensure the machine for 1810 caps produce 450 pcs of caps in a minute and the machine for 1881 cap also produce 800 pcs of caps in a minute
    • Constantly check machinery during production to ensure smooth operation and for any unusual sounds.
    • Responsible for lube application.
    • Review downtime report from previous shift for any adverse report or hindrance.
    • Assist in plant conversions and installations.
