Technical Operator

Full time | Location: Kumasi 

Job Overview

The jobholder will operate assigned machinery and fully ensure it is maintained at all times and smoothly running to avoid any disruption in production. Align with and support all production and maintenance teams in ensuring machinery and operating at optimum.

Duties

  • Start/Stop the assigned production machinery daily/routinely.
  • Responsible for lube application and machine operation.
  • Constantly monitor the performance of the assigned machinery to learn, record, and report any anomalies to supervisors regarding sound, speed, and functionality.
  • Review downtime report from previous shift for any adverse report or hindrance.
  • Assist in plant conversions and installations.
  • Ensure that the Quality Assurance Department examines all samples and certifies the product prior to start of production.
  • Prepare production and maintenance report and submit to Maintenance and Production Managers.
  • Undertake thorough maintenance of assigned machinery where necessary to ensure machine is in good condition and operating smoothly.
  • Perform any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

Skills & Attributes Required

  • Working knowledge of IS0 9001.
  • Ability to work in a team and adapt to change.
  • Good interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills.
  • Literacy in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong trouble shooting skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Qualifications

  • HND in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 2 years working experience.
  • Certification in Mechanical and electrical safety
  • Strong trouble shooting skills.
