Kasapreko PLC has embarked on a significant tree planting initiative in collaboration with the Forestry Commission as part of its ongoing commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship. This initiative aims to plant 3,000 trees over the next three years, beginning with 1,000 trees at the Chipa Forest Reserve in Dodowa.
Together with Herbal Farms & Research Institute, Kasapreko PLC has begun its journey of contributing to the Green Ghana agenda and supporting the fight against climate change by reforesting the Chipa Forest. The first phase of this project ended with the installation of 1,111 trees, with the intention of reaching the 3,000-tree target in subsequent years.
This initiative is part of the overall KPLC ESG strategy. From the One4Life project to saving lives to providing potable water for deprived communities, this project serves as another extension of the company’s commitment to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
At KPLC, the belief in sustainable operations and ensuring positive impacts on the communities in which it operates is paramount. By planting trees, the company believes it is planting hope and fostering a sense of environmental awareness for future generations.
